The Loretto Project: Messiaen’s Ondes

In Music of Messiaen, Longleash explores the music and Catholic mysticism of French composer Olivier Messiaen in the historic Loretto Motherhouse Chapel, joined by resident composer Suzanne Farrin in a rare live performance on ondes martenot. The program also features Scion by French-American composer Betsy Jolas, a student of Messiaen and daughter of Kentucky-native author Maria Jolas.
